MARTA has submitted plans to the city of Atlanta to begin construction on an $18 million addition to its Buckhead Station, including a new pedestrian bridge over Georgia 400.
Construction was slated to begin this fall and be complete by mid 2013.
MARTA filed for a commercial addition permit Oct. 28, and those plans are under review by the city of Atlanta. The upgrades include about 14,000-square-feet of upgrades to the existing MARTA station at Peachtree and Georgia 400, including a new elevator, a new sidewalk on the east side of 400 and a walkway on its westside...
